JCPenney Black Friday Freebies: $10-$500 Door Prize Coupon
Be one of the first customers at JCPenney on Thursday to receive a coupon for $10 off $10 or more, $100 off $100 or more, or $500 off $500 or more. Each store will have one $500 coupon. For every hundred coupons that they give away there will be one $100 coupon and ninety nine $10 coupons. They do not specify how many are given away. Once the coupon is received it is good until Friday 11/24/17. One coupon per customer per transaction. Stores open Thursday at 2 pm which is an hour earlier than last year.
JCPenny has quite a few products that are free after rebate. These can probably be combined with the door prize coupon. If you find a product that is $10 after mail-in rebate then it will be free with the coupon. Combining offers is a great way to get even more value. For example, a Cuisinart Advantage 12-pc knife set is regularly $50, on sale for $19.99, and has a $10 mail-in rebate so it’s $9.99 after rebate. Combine that with the $10 door prize coupon and it’s a $50 item that you can get completely free.
KMART/Sears Black Friday Freebies: Free cash in points
KMART and Sears (sister retailers) both advertised “free cash in points” when you text a keyword to a promotional number. Data charges may apply. The ads don’t explain much beyond that so we’re not certain if this deal is actually free. However, Shop Your Way rewards members in previous years have received free cash in points in previous holiday seasons via email. “Freecash in points 6 am – 2 pm Thursday. Text FREECASH to 56278“.

Macy’s opens 5 pm Thursday. Black Friday deals good from 5 pm Thurs – 2 am Fri and 6 am – 1 pm Fri. Check the fine print of the rebates. It’s possible that “limit 1 per customer” means 1 rebate per customer, not one of each item advertised.
Macy’s physical ad includes coupons for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more and $20 off a purchase of $50 or more which could potentially be combined with the rebates above. The fine print in the ads do not specify if they can. Check also the fine print on the rebate form. If they can be combined then there are definitely more than $50-worth of rebates and you could potentially make $20 on this deal. Be sure to ask the cashier for a duplicate receipt for every item that you purchase with a rebate.

Check your local ads for additional freebies, especially large department stores, electronics, office supply and furniture stores for more freebies that are actually free. These may include door prizes, sweepstakes, coupons, gift cards and free food.
The Following Offers Say “Free”; They’re Not Actually Free But May Still Be Good Deals
CVS has multiple BOGO offers and discounts after rewards, and at least 10 items that are “free after rewards”. Read more about rewards and why they’re not actually free. These offers could be excellent for stocking stuffers.
Office Depot/Office Max – Office Depot Brand Copy & Print Case Paper, $10.01 – $10 in rewards = 1 cent + $10 in rewards. Duracell Alkaline Batteries, 16-PK, $15.99 – $15.98 = 1 cent + $15.98 in rewards. There is also a paper deal that is 1 cent after rewards in their weekly ad. The offer is valid until 11/25.
Harbor Freight Tools has coupons for free items “with any purchase”. If they have hardware that you could buy for less than a dollar then it’s practically free. Previous years and throughout the year Harbor Freight tools has been known to mail coupons that are good for free items with no purchase required so it’s worth it to get on their mailing list.
Petco – Free Pet Antlers with purchase. Friday & Saturday, and other BOGO offers and “free with purchase” offers.
Stage Stores have multiple free gifts with fragrance purchases.
Free $10 Walgreens Gift Card with purchase of $50 itunes gift card or $30 iTunes multipack. If you plan on buying $50-worth of iTunes – ever, this could be a good deal.
Menard’s Farberware 3-Tier Wood Shelf $11.99 – $10 mail in rebate = $1.99
You could also spread out more value by buying gift cards at a discount. For example, if you know you’re going to spend $50 or more on Amazon, then get a $50 Amazon gift card for $45 ($5 free). You could potentially get discounts like these with Gift Card retailers or Groupon. Some stores will have gas rewards with gift card purchases.
The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet in the Tempe/Phoenix, AZ area has free $800 handmade 8 x 10 foot wool rugs, free remote control dump trucks, and free 50-inch 4K Ultra HD TVs advertised on the first page of their ad. Most likely these are freebies that come with furniture purchases, but the ad does not specify that.
Ashley Homestore Scratch N’ Win Gift Card, The first 300 customers on Friday will receive a scratcher and 1 lucky winner at each location will win $5,000 cash, a $99 minimum purchase is required to receive a card. This offer was previously listed higher on the page until the minimum purchase requirement was discovered. Since a purchase is required, it’s not actually free.
Any of the following offers are not actually free; don’t let Black Friday ads play tricks on you:

- Free after rewards
While they’re not actually free they may still be good deals, but this depends on who you’re shopping for and whether they actually need or want the item for sale. The word “free” should not trick you into getting worse deals or deals that you would not otherwise purchase.
