Watch streaming full-length movies and full-length TV episodes for free at PopcornFlix.com. The movies are modern, commercially-produced movies, some of which were released in the movie theater, although many were also probably released direct to DVD or TV.
Their categories include: Featured Movies, Most Popular, New Arrivals, Featured Shows, Staff Picks, Action, Comedy, Horror, Drama, Family, Romance, Documentaries, Stand-up Comedy, Asian Action, Espanol, and Bro Movies.
The TV Shows were mostly in the categories of Kids, Professional Fighting, Reality TV, and Comedy.
They probably update their list of shows regularly, so even if you’ve been to PopcornFlix before, you can check back to see what’s new.
Content Warning: Many of the movies are rated R, not rated, and/or may contain content that is not suitable for families or viewing by a general audience. Even some of the movie posters have scary or inappropriate images. There are no parental controls; there’s no way of hiding adult content.
You can watch shows for free without creating an account with the site. However, creating a free account gives you some minimal additional features including adding movies to favorites, a “profile”, “devices”, and “subscriptions”. The “subscriptions” looks like it will be a future place to purchase “bundles” or make a donation to the site. However, there was nothing to pay for when the site was reviewed on 10/6/2017. There are currently no premium or upgraded features to the site. The movies and TV shows are supported by ads.
Movies can be viewed on an internet browser. PopcornFlix also has apps for viewing on Android, iTunes, Roku, Xbox, Sony PlayStation, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast.
PopcornFlix also has a YouTube channel where you can watch full-length movies and TV and the list of shows may be different from their website. You could watch those movies where ever you watch YouTube on desktop, mobile devices, video game consoles or TV apps.
Free GIF Generator: It seems as though you should be able to create animated GIFs from any of the movies by clicking the “reel” icon to the right of the movie player, then clicking on “GIFs”. You can select the time frame from the movie, add text memes, and then click “generate”. It didn’t work when I tried it on Google Chrome browser on 10/6/2017. I was logged into an account and it still did not work.
Free Web & Social Content: Each movie or TV episode can be embedded into a web page or shared on Social Media. Click the “curved arrow” icon to the right of the movie player for a share link, social options or the code to embed the video.
Unlike Crackle, which is associated with Sony Pictures, it is difficult to determine if PopcornFlix is associated with any particular studio. The site is owned by Screen Media Ventures, LLC and powered by Unreel.me.
