Watch free streaming movies and television shows at Tubi TV. The movies are modern, high quality and commercially-produced. Some were originally released in movie theaters and some were probably released direct to TV. You can watch their movies through an internet browser or their apps for Android, iTunes, Roku, and Amazon Fire. The free service is supported by ads.
You can watch videos that are rated G, PG, PG-13, TV-Y, TV-G, TV-7, TV-PG, or TV-14 without registering for an account. Registering for a free account gives you additional features including: watch all movies (including those with more adult ratings), adding movies to queue, and parental controls.
Content Advisory: Some of the shows are not rated or they are rated R, NC-17, or TV-MA and have content which are not suitable for children or families. Once you register for an account you can change parental controls which apply to all devices associated with that account. If you set the controls to “teen” or younger then the shows for adult audiences will be hidden from video selections.
There are no observable premium or paid features. Tubi TV is entirely free as of the date of this review. There is no observable way to embed the videos into web pages. You can share links to specific movies on social media by going to the movie you want to share. Scroll down below the video player and click on the share button (…) below the movie poster. There will be options to share on Facebook and Twitter. Some of the videos have closed captioning. How often the video selection options are changed is unknown.
TubiTV has options for those who would potentially like to partner with them. They accept email inquiries for advertising or for submitting content to their video selection. This could be useful to independent producers.
Summary
The videos are actually free to watch online, but one star was subtracted since the videos are supported by ads and the sharing features are very limited. The site received 5 stars for “family friendly”; it does have content that is not family friendly, but it was given 5 stars because the parental controls hide it completely. This is better than other sites that still display the content, including movie posters that are not family friendly, even if the videos are not view-able without the parental pass code. The site is safe.
