Blacklisted Free Sites
Blacklisted Free Sites are sites that we are specifically suggesting you avoid. The following free sites were blacklisted for one or more of the following reasons:
- The site has excessive advertising, popups, popovers and redirects which make the site unusable.
- The site is deemed unsafe since it has a bad report with Norton Safe Web or Google Safe Search.
- The site is deemed unsafe since it was blocked by our antivirus software.
- The site looks too suspicious with possible phishing or spamming setup, too many forms or questions are required just to visit the site.
- The site does not have family friendly content or does not hide it well enough for a general audience.
- The site is misleading, it does not have a freebie that is actually free.
Visitors to Actually Free are welcome to submit freebies for review. If the freebie is found to be safe, family friendly and actually free then it will be posted on our blog and added to one or more of the freebie directories. The owner of that freebie is also welcome to apply for the Actually Free Seal which demonstrates that their freebie has been verified by a non-biased third-party. Sites that are not finished undergoing review will be added to the Watch List. When sites or freebies are not safe, not family friendly or not actually free then they’ll be added to this black list, hyperlinks are purposefully removed.
If you own a site or a freebie that is on this black list then you’re welcome to contact us to have it removed if the noted offense is corrected.
Blacklisted Free Sites
Currently there are no sites. If you’re uncertain about a site, please submit it for review. It may first be added to the watch list but if it is not actually free, not family friendly or unsafe then it will be added here.
